Cork TD calling on the HSE to establish mass vaccination centres in the County as well as City

Cork East TD Seán Sherlock says he has been contacted by people who say they may not be able to get to proposed centres in the city.
The Irish Examiner reports the HSE is considering Páirc Uí Chaoimh and City Hall for the rollout of vaccines, however several Cork TD's say local centres must also be set up.
The HSE says a number of locations are currently being assessed and should be confirmed in the coming weeks.
Speaking to RedFM News, Deputy Sherlock says the HSE need to be mindful of people outside the city:
"It's okay, you know for city people living in Cork they will be able to get to Páirc Uí Chaoimh and many people living close to the city will be able to get to Páirc Uí Chaoimh and that's a good thing. But I'm thinking about the people in the further reaches of West Cork, I'm thinking of people in parts of North Cork and in East Cork. If you can roll out three additional centres in East, North and West Cork, I think that would make it easier for local people living in those regions to be able to get to centres in those towns."
