Cork's Jerry Buttimer among three GolfGate senators Fine Gael restores party whip to

Fine Gael has re-admitted three senators stripped of the party whip over the GolfGate controversy.

Jerry Buttimer, Paddy Burke and John Cummins were dropped from the parliamentary party last August for attending the Oireachtas Golf dinner in Co. Galway which breached covid restrictions. 

In a statement, Tanaiste Leo Varadkar says "they've been out of the party for five months and it's time for them to get back to work".
