COVID-19 UPDATE: 436 New Cases - No New Deaths

101 patients are in hospital with the virus of which 39 are in ICU.

The Department of Health says the case numbers may change due to future data reviews, following the cyber attack.

Mandatory Hotel Quarantine is set to be extended until the end of July.

Health Minister Stephen Donnelly has said the measure is needed to combat variants of concern.

The measures will be reviewed around the time Ireland adopts the EU digital green cert on travel.

The HSE hasn't been given any indication of how many Johnson & Johnson vaccines will arrive here next month.

Ireland was due to get 476 thousand doses in June - but at best, half of that will now be delivered, and at worst 60 thousand.

It's likely to mean the government target of giving over 80 per cent of adults a first dose by the end of next month, will be missed.

Varadkar says pandemic support payments will be phased out from October

The government will begin phasing out pandemic support payments from October, according to the Tánaiste.
