COVID19 UPDATE: 1 New Death, 35 Confirmed Cases

Another 35 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in the Republic today, and one further death. 

It brings the death toll to 1,773 and there are a total of 26,801 cases. 

71 per cent of the cases confirmed today are among people under 45 years of age, and six are in Carlow - the highest in the country. 

Dr Martin Daly, a former president of the Irish Medical Organisation, says the recent trend is a big concern.
