COVID19 UPDATE: 13 new deaths, 970 new confirmed cases - 59 here in Cork

Ireland has recorded its highest daily number of Covid-19 cases in nearly two months. 

Health officials have reported 970 new cases today, along with 13 deaths. 

348 of the cases are in Dublin, with 60 in Limerick, 59 in Cork, 59 in Wexford and 55 in Louth. 

The remaining cases are spread across 20 other counties. 

Chief medical officer, Tony Holohan, says the current trajectory of the disease is a 'grave concern'.
