EU leaders to discuss Covid-19 vaccine supply problems at virtual summit today and tomorrow

They will vote on whether to expand restrictions on sending injections abroad, and to Britain in particular.
The EU and the UK last night said they'd work together to find a 'win-win solution' for both sides.
US president Joe Biden will join the summit by video-conference this evening.
Minister for European Affairs, Thomas Byrne, is confident the recent vaccine shortfalls will improve and Ireland will catch up on Britain:
"What the European Union is saying based on what the vaccine companies are saying, that we will have a significant ramping up of supply in April, at a time when Britain is saying that it may have to reduce supply. So these things come and go but our objective is to make sure 82% of the population can have a first dose of vaccine by the end of June and that will lead this country into a completely different place, and that will be happening around the same time as Britain."
