European Medicines Agency due to decide whether to approve another Covid-19 vaccine today

It will meet to consider if the AstraZeneca jab can be used in the EU - allowing the rollout to start in Ireland in the coming weeks.
But the company's in an ongoing row with the EU over a 60% shortfall in the number of doses being delivered
Germany's vaccine committee says it shouldn't be used on over 65s, which Fine Gael MEP Frances Fitzgerald says is a blow:
"Well, I'm very hopefully we will get the go-ahead today but of course, the interest point really will be in relation to whether it's suitable for over 65s or not. Given the German decision that, in fact, they don't believe enough trials have been done in over 65s, and they're recommending that it wouldn't be used on that group of people."
