European Medicines Agency expected to approve the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine in the EU today

It's possible an age restriction may be placed on the vaccine after German officials recommended it not be administered to over 65s

Meanwhile, the contract between the Commission and AstraZeneca has been published as the row over vaccine supply continues.

It states that AstraZeneca should use it's best reasonable effort to manufacture the vaccine at sites located within the EU, which for the purpose of the contract is to include the UK.
