Facebook Ireland announces new tools to help businesses in Cork during restrictions

It's hoped new tools designed by Facebook will help Cork businesses enhance their presence online.
Many small and medium enterprises Leeside, who do not traditionally operate online, have been hit by the COVID19 crisis and the social media giant has created new tools to help those businesses connect with their customers during the coronavirus pandemic.
Among the news initiatives by Facebook Ireland are online training to equip businesses to make the move to an online model, digital gift cards to help people shop local, a food order concept to make it easier for people to order food on social media as well as the new ‘Support Small Business’ sticker on Instagram which allows people mention a business in their stories.
Speaking to RedFM News Vice President of Facebook's Global Business Group Ciaran Quilty says their social media platforms can be the first step for many companies trying to generate online business online:
