Gardaí in the City handed Covid-19 fines to over 100 people last weekend

The Echo reports that Senior Gardaí say the City is consistently among the areas with the highest number of Covid breaches. 

898 fines were issued to people in the City up to last Thursday, while Gardaí in Cork North handed out 262 fines. 

Cork West had the lowest incidence with 205 fines. 

Fines can be issued for breaking travel restrictions or attending or organising a gathering.
