Gardai to introduce a range of additional measures to support the Government's Level 5 Plan for Living with COVID-19

Additional static checkpoints to be mounted from 7am tomorrow morning

Starting from 7am tomorrow additional static checkpoints are to be mounted on national routes under Operation Fanacht and these will be supported by the local mobile checkpoints introduced last week.

There will be an additional re-deployment of Gardaí to the front-line 

Deputy Commissioner John Twomey says keeping people safe during this pandemic has been their number one priority and the measures announced today will further support that work.
