Gardai Will Be Policing Today's Anti-Lockdown Rally In The City Centre

It's due to get underway at 2pm
Calls have already been made by the City's Lord Mayor and Gardai for the event to be cancelled as the current health advice is to avoid any large gatherings and fears have been expressed that this could be a potential "super spreader" of Covid-19.
Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Coveney has also appealed to the public not to show up even though he understands people are stressed by restrictions.
The organisers of the Rally for Truth say the purpose of the event is for an end to the lockdown which they say is damaging and they've appealed to Government to be honest in regard to death levels from Covid19.
