Half Of Businesses Planning To Adopt Remote Working On A Permanent Basis Even After COVID

The majority of businesses say productivity was not negatively impacted by the pandemic

'400 businesses across a range of sectors were asked about their plans for remote working into the future. 

The research by CIPD Ireland has found that 77 per cent plan to adopt a blend of remote and on-site working long-term. 

Director Mary Connaughton says the way offices are used will also change. 

Roseanne Regan from Liberty Insurance says the company has decided to introduce a primarily remote working model going forward. 

Sarah Collins from Ballymaloe Foods says the company is planning to have a blend of remote and on-site working into the future. 

The research also found that almost a fifth of companies expect to reduce their office space usage in the future.'
