Ireland Could Be Facing A New Lockdown Within 10 Days If Cases Continue To Rise

It's after 1,012 new cases were confirmed yesterday

Ireland could be facing a new lockdown within 10 days if coronavirus cases continue to rise.

The Sunday Independent reports the move now looks increasing possible, with a recommendation expected after Thursday's NPHET meeting.

It comes after the Tanaiste previously admitted a 'short, sharp' circuit break lockdown may be needed to reduce case numbers.

The paper reports that a discussion on the subject is expected at a meeting of Cabinet on Tuesday.
