Irish Medical Organisation says Covid-19 has highlighted health system shortfalls

Covid-19 has shown that Ireland does not have the healthcare capacity required to deliver adequate care to the people of Ireland.

That's according to a member of the Irish Medical Organisation which is due before the Oireachtas Covid Committee today to discuss the impact on the healthcare system.

It comes amidst a warning that Ireland may be going in the wrong direction when it comes to suppressing the virus.
