It Will Take Days Before We Can Say We're Not Heading Into Another Serious Covid-19 Outbreak

That's according to a leading public health expert

543 more people have tested positive for the virus and there's been 16 additional deaths, with officials warning progress in driving down the level of infection might be "stalling". 

Anthony Staines, Professor of Health Systems at DCU, says between 1,500 and 2,000 contact tracers should be hired urgently. 

He says restrictions on movement just aren't enough on their own:
