Leicester mayor says lockdown is politically motivated

The mayor of Leicester says the UK government's decision to keep a partial lockdown in the city is politically motivated.

Some shops are being allowed to reopen from next Friday along with schools and nurseries - following a drop in Covid-19 infection rates.

Pubs and restaurants must stay closed though.
