Non-essential retailers prepare to re-open their doors this morning

Non-essential retailers across the country are preparing to re-open their doors for the first time this year.
As part of the phased re-opening click and collect is available once again and shoppers can visit stores from today by appointment only.
Duncan Graham from Retail Excellence says the pandemic has led to changes in consumer habits: "Clearly the biggest change has been the amount of online shopping that people are now doing I mean, and click and collect click, click and collect wasn't something that people particularly did way back 12/18 months ago but now is something that's come to the fore, particularly on the run up to Christmas last year so, you know, we won't be going backwards, those changes are here to stay and I think retail will will continue to develop and offer more choice to consumers in the long run"
