Numbers availing of COVID19 payment expected to reduce when construction sites reopen

It's hoped nearly 80,000 construction workers who claimed the COVID-19 Unemployment Benefit won't need it once building sites reopen in the coming weeks.

In total nearly 600,000 people have received the €350 payment this week.

128,000 people were working in the hotel and food service sector.
