Record Number Waiting For First Hospital Outpatient Consultation

Over 630,000 people are waiting to be seen as outpatients

The list has grown gradually during the pandemic and is now at its longest ever. 

Nearly 77,000 people are waiting for their first inpatient or day-case treatment. 

Almost 884,000 people are on some form of waiting list, according to the National Treatment Purchase Fund.
