Two new cases reported in New Zealand

Two people have taken coronavirus into New Zealand - after three weeks of no infections there.

Both women are from the same family - one in her 30s and the other in her 40s - and travelled from the UK.

\They arrived in the country earlier this month via Australia.

Director-General of Health, Dr Ashley Bloomfield, says they were prepared for this.

"A new case is something we had hoped we wouldn't get, but it's also something we expected and we have planned for.

"That is why we have geared up and continue to gear up our contact tracing at a local level, and national capacity and capability"
