The positive impact of the experience of young people in care is being celebrated at an event in the city this morning
International Care Day, which is the world's largest celebration of children and young people with care experience, is being marked at the Bessborough Centre in Blackrock this morning
Foster carers, their families and children in care or who have care experience are all invited to the event which aims to change attitudes and preconceived perceptions around people in care or who had care experience.
Speaking to RedFM News Emer Saunders of the Fostering Resource Unit at TUSLA says it's vital that these positive experiences are celebrated and she's encouraging anyone interested in becoming a foster carer to make contact
