UPDATE: Toddler Who Was Injured At Her Home On The Boreenmanna Road Has Died
The two year-old was rushed to hospital with traumatic head injuries
Officers were alerted after neighbours reported hearing a disturbance, when they arrived they found the 2 year old with serious head injuries and paramedics rushed her to Cork University Hospital.
Doctors worked to revive the child but it's understood she had suffered traumatic head injuries and was pronounced dead in the last hour
The child was living with her 34 year old father at the apartment and his 35 year old partner - who is not the child's mother -at the second storey apartment
Gardai have cordoned off the upstairs apartment - which is part of of a social housing development - for a technical examination and door to door inquiries are underway
The services of the State pathologist's office have been requested and the results of the post mortem will determine the course of the Garda investigation
Speaking to RedFM News these locals are dumbfounded
