100 Staff At Pieta House Are To Lose Their Jobs Through Forced And Voluntary Redundancies

UPDATE: A Cork TD has expressed his concern at the news that the mental health charity is streamlining its' services
The news comes as €4 million was raised by the public through the recent Darkness Into Light Sunrise appeal
At the start of the year, prior to the coronavirus, staff were told about restructuring plans which involved some job losses however Pieta House is now facing questions from employees about how donations and State funding is being spent.
Queries have been raised over plans to lay off up to 100 psychotherapists and clinical support staff from June with doubts too over the future of some Pieta centres.
Cork East TD Pat Buckley told RedFM News that he has serious concerns at the news that the mental health charity is stream-lining their services
