14 Arrests Made After Violence In The City

It's emerged that 14 people were arrested after rival gangs clashed on the northside of the city on bonfire night. Gardaí seized machetes, knives, and iron bars from the gangs when a fight broke out on Ardmore Avenue at around 1.40am yesterday morning. Six men, including one juvenile, were brought before Cork District Court yesterday charged with various public order offences linked to the incident. Five men were remanded on bail and ordered to stay away from each other. The juvenile was remanded in custody to appear before the court again on Friday. Eight people were released without charge as gardaí prepare files for the DPP.
