2 Sites In Cork Named Among Top Attractions In 'Ireland's Ancient East'
Spike Island along with Midleton Jameson Distillery were ranked in the top five at this year's Irish Tourism Awards
The two Cork sites are ranked in a competitive field that includes the Waterford Greenway, Castlecomer Discovery Park and the House of Waterford Crystal
Spike island was co-funded by Cork County Council and Failte Ireland with 6.5 million investment in 2016 and has gone on to win both European and national awards, placing 2nd at the World travel awards behind Peru site Macchu Pichhu.
