30,000 People In Cork Expected To Take Part In Darkness Into Light

The charity walk/run is happening at 23 locations across the county from 4.15am tomorrow

Over 3,000 people in Cork are expected to walk from Darkness into Light this year for Pieta House's annual fundraiser. 

The walk is taking place at 23 locations across the City and County from 4.15am tomorrow morning until sunrise. 

Pieta House provide services to people who have suicidal thoughts or engage in self harm and receives just 15% of its budget from the government. 

€670,000 was raised in 21 locations acorss Cork last year by over 26,000 people.

Speaking to RedFM News, Darran Coyle-Garde from Pieta House says the charity relies heavily on the success of the event
