34,000 products hauled from entering the Irish market amidst safety concerns

The order was imposed by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission
Almost 34 thousand products were stopped from entering the Irish market over safety concerns last year.
The product safety orders were imposed by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission which has just released its first annual report.
The Commission also says it has concerns about the second hand motor sector.
In 2015, the watchdog was contacted over 3 and a half thousand times about issues like motor financing, car clocking and the sale of crashed cars.
Chairperson of the Commission Isolde Goggin says they're taking a proactive approach to the motor industry.
