37 secret cameras have been installed in the county to combat illegal dumping

The Irish Examiner reports the Council declined to reveal exactly where the CCTV cameras are installed, however they said eight are in the Fermoy District, six are in Macroom and there are five in the wider Cobh area.

The amount of material being brought to recylcing centres also increased by up to 50% in some locations due to an increase in the amount of people drinking at home since the pandemic hit.
