7 Year Old Boy In Critical Condition After Hit and Run In East Cork
A young boy is fighting for his life in hospital following a hit and run in East Cork. The child was playing in Ballymacoda village when he was hit by a car which failed to stop at around 1 o'clock. Emergency services attended the scene and the child was rushed by ambulance to Cork University Hospital where his condition is described as critical. It's understood a man in his forties is helping gardai at Midleton with their inquiries. But Gardai are appealing for anyone who was in the Ballymacoda area between 1pm and 1.30pm to contact them at Midleton Garda Station.
