800 without power across East and West Cork

Nearly 800 customers are without power across East and West Cork this morning, after lightning strikes hit transformers causing a blackout overnight. The worst affected areas are Midleton, Aghada, Timoleague and Kinsale with 140 indiviudal faults recorded on the power grid across Cork At the height of the storm 3,300 customers across Cork were left without power however the ESB says their repair crews have been out since first light working to get everyone back on the network and the majority of customers have had their power restored...
