900 jobs in doubt at Awear and MSD in Dublin

900 jobs are in doubt this evening. 570 positions are under threat with the closure of the MSD pharmaceutical plant in north Dublin. 360 Awear workers are also waiting for news on their future after the retailer went into receivership. All of the Irish fashion chain's stores have closed today and it's thought at least some will not re-open. The company has three outlets in Cork - on Patrick Street, in Mahon Point and Wilton. The finance minister says the loss of jobs at AWear would be 'a great pity'.
