A 22-Year-Old Man Arrested For Questioning About A Hit And Run In The City Has Been Released Without Charge
A UCC Student was left with life-changing injuries
Gardaí questioned the man from Togher for more than 8 hours after he presented himself at the Bridewell Garda Station on Friday.
Shortly after 3am the 23-year-old woman had just walked up Wycherley Terrace and was in the process of crossing Magazine Road when she was hit by a dark-coloured car that failed to stop.
She was knocked to the ground and suffered a serious ankle injury before being taken to Cork University Hospital for emergency surgery.
The man in his 20s has been released without charge, as Gardai at Anglesea Street renew their appeal for witnesses.
