A 62-Year-Old Man Has Been Arrested And Charged With The Alleged Sexual Assault Of A 17-Year-Old Girl
The disputed incident took place in a hospital ward at CUH
It's alleged the man approached and touched the teenager inappropriately in her sleep when they shared a ward at Cork University Hospital in May of last year.
The man denies the allegations of sexual assault, claiming that he merely 'shook her hand'.
He has been placed on bail for 4 weeks.
However, a non-guilty plea after this time will result in a trial by judge and jury at Cork Circuit Criminal Court.
