A Cork Man Has Raised Over 3,500 Euro For The Cork Simon Community

He has completed 40 marathons in just 36 weeks

Tom O'Riordan from Togher has been running at least one marathon per week in Cork and across the country since the beginning of the year, in honour of his brother Billy.

Tom comes from a family of 9 children who tragically lost their brother Billy 30 years ago, at the age of 15.

He completed his 40th marathon yesterday in the form of 32 laps around the Lough, having already ran to the Lough from Douglas at 7am yesterday morning.

The GoFundMe page entitled 'Tom and Billys Marathon Madness For Simon' is still active with all proceeds going to Cork Simon.
