A cure for skin cancer within reach

A cure for skin cancer could finally be within reach. That's according to a Cork-based oncologist who was reacting to the results of a ground breaking drugs trial which has shown a dramatic increase in survival rates.. 24 sufferers of the disease from Cork, Dublin and Galway are taking part in the groundbreaking trial which has seen reasearchers pioneering methods of harnessing the body's own immune system to fight cancer.. Skin cancer claims the lives of over 100 thousand people in Ireland every year and this new treatment shows an increase of up to five fold survival rate.
