A Man Has Been Arrested Following Seizure Of €70,000 Worth Of Drugs In Cork
A man in his 30s has been arrested following the seizure of €70,000 worth of drugs in Blackrock
Gardaí from the City Drugs Squad found a kilo of cocaine when they searched a car near Bessborough off the Skehard Road at around 5pm yesterday.
The driver of the car, who is orginally from Mahon was arrested and taken to the Bridewell Garda Station where he can be held for up to 7 days.
It's understood the seizure was part of an intelligence led operation targeting drug dealers on the south side of the city.
The drugs have been sent to the State Forensic Laboratory to confirm that it is cocaine and to establish its purity
