A man in his 50's has died in a workplace accident in Fountainstown

A man in his 50's has died in a workplace accident in Cork this afternoon.
The alarm was raised just before 12 midday, following reports a bank of earth had fallen on the man as he was working on a trench at Fountainstown Caravan Park.
Emergency Services rushed to the area, but despite efforts to revive him the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner has been notified and his body is to be taken to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem will be conducted
Investigations by Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority are under way.
