A one hour train journey from Cork to Dublin could be a reality in the future

That's according to the Cork Chamber who has submitted a plan of their vision for the future of the city over the next 30 years to the National Planning Framework

The submission includes the development of Cork into a competitive high rise city, improved connectivity by investment in new motorway projects and the expansion of the Ringaskiddy port.

A final document is expected to be approved by the Dáil ahead of the budget in October.

Speaking to RedFM News CEO of Cork Chamber Conor Healy says high speed connectivity is a very real possibility.
