A Spate Of Violent Incidents In Rochestown Has Left Locals Afraid And Concerned For Their Area

Local Cllr Mary Rose Desmond was speaking ahead of a meeting to discuss the recent spike in violence and anti-social behaviour.
A man sustained a head injury on Saturday night when he was attacked and robbed by a group of teenagers in Mount Oval, while a 17 year was attacked and suffered injuries to his face following an attack in Garryduff.
A second 17 year old was reportedly attacked in Mount Oval and Bus Eireann was forced to suspend the 216 bus due to anti-social behaviour in the Maryborough Hill area on Friday night.
Gardaí are investigating the incidents and are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
