A Status Yellow Warning For Snow And Ice Remains In Place For Cork And The Entire Country

The warning is in place until 11 o'clock this morning
Hail, sleet and snow are expected to fall, especially on high ground, with icy stretches on roads and footpaths.
Drivers are being reminded to reduce their speed and beware of places where ice might form.
Emergency services in Cork dealt with a number of incidents yesterday evening and overnight due to the bad weather including a crash on the N22 on the city side of Farran, and a crash on the Togher Road near the N40 overpass.
Both incidents have since been cleared.
