All roads lead to Laois for National Ploughing Championships

Tens of thousands of people are arriving in Co Laois this morning for the 84th National Ploughing Championships.
President Michael D Higgins will officially open the event - which is now the biggest outdoor exhibition and agricultural trade show in Europe.
Almost 280-thousand people attended last year’s championships in Ratheniska and spent over 36 and a half million euro.
Organisers hope those figures can be matched this year.
