Ambulance Response Times In The Spotlight

It has taken an ambulance at least an hour to arrive at a life-threatening emergency 123 times this year. 

According to details released under the Freedom of Information Act, 20 of the cases were in Cork

It took nearly four hours for an ambulance to attend to an urgent call in Mayo. 

Health guidelines say an ambulance should arrive at life-threatening emergencies in less than 19 minutes in 80 percent of cases.
