It's one of a number taking place across the country today

An anti Trump rally is to be staged in Cork this evening and is one of a number taking place across the country today

The Trump cry-baby blimp is set to take to the air in Dublin - the same inflatable that was the focal point of protests in London.

Demonstrations organised by local groups have been taking place outside Shannon Airport and protestors say they will remain there for the three days the US President is in Ireland.

They say they're protesting about Donald Trump's policies on climate change and the US military.

Meanwhile..
This evening's protest rally in Cork is being held at the Grand Parade at 6pm

Ed Fitzgerald from People Before Profit is part of an umbrella group of more than 30 organisations, who have come together under the banner 'Stop Trump Ireland' to oppose the US President's visit

Speaking to RedFM News Ed Fitzgerald says the policies that Donald Trump promotes need to be discouraged
