Anti-water charges campaigners gear up for Leeside rally
The demonstration is set to take place tomorrow afternoon.
Protesters are gearing up for what they say will be the biggest protest yet against water charges Leeside.
Hundreds are expected to turn out for the rally which begins at Connolly Hall at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon and from there it will continue along Patricks St.
It comes after a national protest in Dublin at the end of August which attracted almost 80,000 people.
Elsewhere campaigners will be hoping the rally will drum up support for a petition they're preparing to present to the Lord Mayor for a second time.
It contains 7,000 extra signatures since June when former Lord Mayor Cllr Mary Sheilds rejected it on behalf of the Lord Mayor's Office.
Speaking to RedFM News spokesperson for the Peoples Convention, Diarmuid O'Cadhla says it's important that the petition is accepted.
