Anti-water charges protest continues in Ballypheane housing estate

The protest has been mounted in Clareville Estate.

Gardaí are back in a Cork housing estate this morning where anti-water charge protesters are once again blocking Irish Water workers from carrying out metering.

It's the second day of the protest in Clareville Estate which began yesterday when workers for the utility dug three holes outside some of the residences.

Residents and campaigners are now standing over stop cock valves and say they won't move until Irish Water leave.

Speaking to RedFM News these protesters say they'll continue their campaign until the government listens.
