Appeals for blood donors over the Christmas period

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service are calling for blood donors especially those with unique blood to donate in a bid to ensure stocks are maintained over Christmas
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service are reminding people this Christmas that just one donation can save up to three lives.
The service says the need for blood is constant and to ensure stocks are maintained across the Christmas period they're appealing for people to give blood.
Speaking to RedFM News Donor Recruitment Manager at the IBTS Anne O'Donovan says they're asking people with unique blood to donate on the Fridays that surround Christmas.
