Army bomb disposal team make safe a device found in Knocknaheeny
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses after another suspicious device was located in Knocknaheeny which resulted in the evacuation of 12 houses. The device was found on the doorstep of a house on the Kilmore Road at 9.15am this morning and the EOD team were called in. A controlled explosion was carried out shortly before midday and gardaí have since confirmed to RedFM News that the device was viable. It's the second device in two days to be found in the area, the first device was discovered in Killalla Gardens and was made safe and sent to the ballistics unit in Dublin for examination.
