Around €5 million spent on Cork politicians pensions

The payments are expected to increase under the Landsdowne Road Agreement.
Around 5 million euro was spent in the last four years on pensions for Cork TD's, Ministers and Senators.
The top earner between 2011-2014 was former Minister for Foreign Affairs Peter Barry who received just over 506 thousand euro.
Other high earners include former Education Minister Batt O'Keeffe and former Minister of State Ned O' Keeffe.
These payments are set to increase as part of the Landsdowne Road Agreement to restore public service pensions cuts.
Earlier today, Minister for Finance Michael Noonan said retired ministers who are in line for an increase in their pensions should voluntarily give that money back to the exchequer.
