Baltimore RNLI Called Into Action Yesterday After Dinghy Gets Into Trouble In West Cork
Baltimore RNLI were called into action yesterday evening after a dinghy went ashore on Spanish Island in West Cork.
The Coastguard tasked the volunteer lifeboat crew to assist the 14 foot vessel with two people on board near Baltimore harbour.
The crew arrived two minutes later to find the boat on the rocks and the two sailors, who were wearing lifejackets, ashore on the island.
The inshore lifebaot pulled the dinghy clear of the shore, checked it for damage, and towed it back to pier in Baltimore.
